Role Description  This is a full-time Speech & Language Therapist role applied in mental health, with a hybrid work arrangement based in Bengaluru South and some flexibility for work from home. The therapist will assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication difficulties in individuals experiencing mental health challenges, using standardized tools and clinical observation. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing individualized therapy plans, delivering one-on-one and group interventions, and monitoring progress with clear, measurable goals.

The role involves collaborating closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, educators, and families to integrate communication goals into broader mental health treatment plans. The therapist will document sessions, maintain accurate records, provide counselling and guidance on communication strategies, contribute to case discussions, and participate in awareness, training, and advocacy initiatives related to communication and mental health.
Qualifications

Strong foundation in Speech Therapy, with the ability to design and implement evidence-based interventions.
Expertise in assessing and treating Speech and Communication Disorders in individuals with mental health needs.
Knowledge and experience in managing Language Disorders across age groups and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to evaluate and treat Dysphagia, and to collaborate with medical teams on safe swallowing and feeding strategies.
Recognized degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Masters) and Audiology (Bachelor's) OR combined Audiology and Speech Pathology (Dual Masters) from an accredited institution.
Licensure or registration with relevant professional bodies, as applicable to local regulations.
Experience working in mental health, rehabilitation, or multidisciplinary clinical settings is highly desirable.
Strong documentation skills, familiarity with clinical assessments, and comfort using digital tools for records and tele-services.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative approach to working with clients and teams.
Commitment to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and maintaining client confidentiality.
