Therapy Centre is a multidisciplinary therapy center serving children, youth, adults, and families across Ottawa. Services may be provided in the clinic, home, community, or virtually, depending on client needs and therapist availability.
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified occupational therapist to join our team as an independent contractor. The OT will provide individualized assessment, treatment planning, intervention, consultation, and progress monitoring to support clients’ participation, independence, and functional development.
Key Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide evidence-informed intervention based on client goals and clinical needs
Support areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, self-care, daily living skills, play, school readiness, and functional independence
Provide consultation, education, and practical strategies for families and caregivers
Collaborate with behaviour therapists, speech-language professionals, social service workers, educators, and other care providers
Complete timely clinical documentation, progress reports, and recommendations
Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
Qualifications Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized program
Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
Current professional liability insurance
Experience supporting children, youth, or adults with developmental, behavioural, sensory, emotional, or functional needs
Strong assessment, treatment planning, documentation, communication, and clinical reasoning skills
Experience supporting clients with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, or sensory processing differences is an asset
A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred for community and home-based services
CPR and first aid certifications are considered assets
Bilingualism in English and French, or English and Arabic, is considered an asset
