250619 Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator

This is an important Public Health Improvement role, based within the Community Health & Social Care Directorate in NHS Dumfries & Galloway.

Working to progress organisational aims and developments, post holder is expected to coordinate, support, inform and help implement of a range of priority programmes, plans and strategies in response to region wide priorities; and work with partners, networks and communities to develop and deliver health improvement actions/developments

This position requires considerable community-based vison, engagement, development, planning and coordination skills, as well as the ability to lead and influence developments/action that delivers primary prevention and enables public health improvement work, often in complex environments/circumstances. The role will include providing professional supervision and support for Community Link Workers and other community-based public health improvement staff.

The post holder is accountable to the Public Health Improvement Manager.
