Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trustis seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivatedHCPC-registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our friendly and supportive
Haematology and Blood Transfusion Department.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a modern, forward-thinking laboratory service committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic testing and excellent patient care. We are looking for candidates who have completed theIBMS Specialist Portfolio in Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will provide an essential diagnostic service to clinicians and patients by performing, interpreting, and validating a wide range of specialist and routine investigations. You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of the service, ensuring compliance with UKAS accreditation standards, BSQR requirements, and departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Previous experience working as aBiomedical Scientist in an NHS Haematology laboratory and possession of theIBMS Certificate of Competenceare essential requirements for this role.
Candidates still working towards the IBMS Specialist Diploma may be considered under
Agenda for Change Annex 21 training arrangements, with salary reflecting current progress towards qualification.
