We'relooking for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our community‑based overnight service across Argyll &Bute,including ourrural and island communities.

Aboutthe Role
Working overnight in patients' homes, you will provide high-quality, holistic care to people approaching the end of life, helping them remain comfortable, supported and cared for in the place they call home.
You will deliver personalised care that promotes dignity,comfort and emotional wellbeing, not only for patients but also for the people closest to them. Your calm and reassuring presence throughout the night will provide vital peace of mind to families, knowing that expert care is available when it matters most.
This role covers communities across Argyll & Bute, with travel of up to 40 miles from your home addressrequired. Due to the unique geography of the region, there will also be occasional overnight stays to support patients and families in our island communities, ensuring everyone has access to the high-quality end of life care they deserve.

Whatwe’relooking forFull UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards this
A caring, compassionate andperson‑centred approach
Confidence working independently overnight, while remaining part of a wider clinical team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary:
Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) plus generous enhancements
Contract:
Permanent, Part Time – 18 hours per week (2 overnight shifts per week, between 10.00pm – 7.00am, across 7 days)
Location:
Community‑based, working from home and travelling within a 40‑mile radius across Argyll & Bute.
