Rehabilitation Counsellor

Position: Rehabilitation Counsellor at Ability New Brunswick
Become a Rehabilitation Counsellor with Ability New Brunswick, focusing on adults with mobility disabilities in the Moncton area. This full-time role combines remote work with necessary travel to positively impact clients' lives.

You will engage with clients at home or in healthcare settings as a planner, navigator, and facilitator. Your goal is to empower individuals toward better health and community participation. Ideal candidates should bring creativity, problem-solving capabilities, and a strong commitment to disability-related issues while having the ability to connect with diverse support networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct home and hospital visits to support clients

• Assess needs and develop actionable goals and plans

• Connect individuals with community resources and support

• Enhance clients’ independence through effective facilitation

• Build a supportive network around each individual

Requirements:

• Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Human Services

• Bilingual in English and French

• Previous experience in counseling or human services

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Valid driver's license for required travel
