Rehabilitation Counsellor

Join Ability New Brunswick as a Rehabilitation Counsellor in the Moncton region, a full-time position allowing you to support adults with mobility disabilities from a home-based office. Use your problem-solving skills to promote client independence and community participation.

In this innovative role, you will liaise with clients in various settings, including homes and hospitals, while being responsible for guiding them toward achieving their health goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling and a passion for disability issues, coupled with the creative problem-solving skills to develop tailored action plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet clients at home, hospitals, or rehab centers

• Plan and facilitate client empowerment strategies

• Develop personalized goals and action steps

• Activate community resources for client support

• Foster productive relationships with clients and networks

Requirements:

• Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Human Services

• Bilingual in English and French

• Experience in person-centered planning

• High proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel
