We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist to join our 0–18 Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) within our Crewe and Winsford clinics.

This role is ideal for a CBT therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to children, young people and their families. The successful candidate will provide specialist assessment, formulation and CBT interventions for young people presenting with a range of emotional and mental health difficulties, including those with complex presentations and associated risk.

As a clinician within the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will contribute to the ongoing development of the CBT pathway, support waiting list management, provide consultation and supervision to colleagues and play an active role in service development, quality improvement and clinical governance. The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of professionals across health, education, social care and the voluntary sector to improve outcomes for children and young people.

The successful candidate will provide specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. They will manage a clinical caseload, develop formulations and treatment plans, undertake risk assessments and work collaboratively with families, schools and partner agencies to support positive outcomes.

As a Band 7 clinician, the post holder will play a key role within the multidisciplinary team, providing consultation, supervision and clinical leadership to colleagues. They will contribute to service development, support waiting list management, participate in audit and quality improvement activities and help ensure that the service delivers safe, effective care.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical assessment, formulation, risk management and therapeutic skills, alongside the ability to engage young people with complex presentations. We are seeking an individual who is compassionate, resilient and highly motivated, with strong communication and leadership skills, a commitment to evidence-based practice and a passion for improving the mental health and wellbeing of our children and young people.
