As part of an ambitious redesign of our leadership structure, we are creating a portfolio-based Deputy General Manager role. This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional leader to shape the future of mental health services across the Health and Social Care Partnership.

With strategic responsibility for inpatient and community mental health services, and line management responsibility for Mental Health Professional Leads, the postholder will play a central role in driving improvement, innovation and sustainable service delivery.

The successful candidate will join a motivated and forward-thinking Senior Management Team, working with significant autonomy, influence and responsibility. We are seeking an ambitious leader who is passionate about improving services, empowering staff and delivering outstanding care.

Based at Mountainhall Treatment Centre, Dumfries, the role offers flexible working arrangements; however, a strong visible leadership presence within services is expected, with home working normally limited to one day per week.

Reporting directly to the General Manager for Mental Health Services, the postholder will benefit from a comprehensive induction programme, regular supervision and a tailored development plan.
