Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Director, the Manager is responsible for developing and leading a geographically dispersed team of consultants and specialists that support the integrated system of clinical risk management and the adult protection network throughout the Island Health. The Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the clinical risk and adult protection programs, including the standard operating policies and procedures, in alignment with the organization's culture, values and strategic direction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Masters degree in a related field such as Nursing, Health Information, Health Administration, Leadership and five (5) years' related experience including leading change initiatives and working with Risk Management processes in a large organization. Experience in the development and application of capacity building tools and strategies. Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in office management systems, risk management, methodology and systems thinking.

Familiarity with the Adult Guardianship Act.

This position is eligible for a Work from Home agreement anywhere on Vancouver Island.

The salary range for this position is $108,147 (min) to $135,184 (midpoint) to $155,461 (max) per annum (based on 1 FTE). Salary placement is between min and midpoint, based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. #J-18808-Ljbffr
