Remote Pharmacovigilance Specialist

Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join their global safety team. This fully remote position allows you to contribute to patient safety from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for the collection, assessment, and reporting of adverse event data for assigned pharmaceutical products. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with global safety regulations and maintaining the integrity of our client's product safety profile.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of pharmacovigilance principles and practices.

• Collect, evaluate, and process adverse event reports from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Perform case assessment, including causality evaluation and seriousness determination.
• Ensure timely submission of safety reports to regulatory authorities and business partners according to global timelines.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic safety update reports (PSURs/PBRERs).
• Maintain the pharmacovigilance database and ensure data integrity.
• Support internal and external audits and inspections related to pharmacovigilance activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
• In-depth knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations (e.g., FDA, EMA, SAHPRA).
• Experience with safety databases (e.g., Argus, ArisG) is essential.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
