About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Hygiene Specialist to provide expert guidance and oversight on hygiene protocols and sanitation practices for their operations, primarily serving the Port Elizabeth area, all managed remotely. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, developing best practices, and advising teams on effective sanitation solutions. You will analyze current procedures, identify risks, and propose improvements, all while working from a remote location.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of hygiene science, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders through virtual channels.

• Conduct remote assessments of hygiene and sanitation conditions in various facilities.
• Develop and refine hygiene protocols, cleaning procedures, and sanitation plans.
• Provide expert advice and consultation on hygiene-related matters to operational teams.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and standards.
• Research and recommend new hygiene technologies, products, and methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related scientific field.
• Proven experience in hygiene, sanitation, or public health, preferably with experience managing remotely or consulting.
• Strong understanding of food safety, industrial hygiene, or healthcare sanitation principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and regulations.
• Proficiency in using virtual communication and collaboration tools.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
