About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Oncology, to join their expanding team with a fully remote structure. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key scientific and medical expert, building and maintaining relationships with leading Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the oncology community across South Africa . You will be responsible for communicating complex scientific data, gathering insights from experts, and supporting the medical strategy for innovative oncology therapies.
This position requires a deep understanding of oncology, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a remote capacity, representing the company with scientific integrity and professionalism.
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with oncologists, researchers, and other healthcare professionals (HCPs).
- Deliver accurate and comprehensive scientific and clinical information on oncology products to KOLs.
- Gather insights from KOLs and the scientific community regarding treatment practices, unmet medical needs, and research trends.
- Support the development and execution of the local medical affairs strategy.
- Identify and facilitate opportunities for investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and collaborative research projects.
- Present complex scientific data at medical congresses, symposia, and advisory boards.
- Advanced scientific degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D.) in a relevant life science field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison , preferably in Oncology.
- Extensive knowledge of oncology, including disease states, treatment paradigms, and current research.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and credibility with Key Opinion Leaders.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage a territory, and function effectively in a remote work environment.
