About the Role
Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Support Counsellor to join their team, serving the Klerksdorp area. This role is dedicated to strengthening families and providing essential support during challenging times. You will offer guidance, counseling, and practical assistance to families navigating issues such as relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, and crisis intervention. Working remotely, you will leverage technology to reach families across the region, providing accessible and confidential support.

- Provide individual, couples, and family counseling services via virtual platforms.
- Assess family dynamics and identify areas requiring support and intervention.
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies to address family challenges.
- Offer crisis intervention and support during periods of family distress.
- Connect families with appropriate community resources and services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with professional standards.
- Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or SACSSP.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in family counseling or therapy.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication tools for remote client sessions.
- Strong understanding of family systems theory and therapeutic modalities.
- Excellent active listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
