We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join our expanding clinical trials team. Bradford Teaching Hospitals is a great place to work, with a friendly and welcoming pharmacy team. We are now one of 21 UK CRDCs – Commercial Research Delivery Centres; a key aim of which is to increase the number of commercial clinical trials within the Trust, so there is a lot of potential for us to change and improve our working practices.

You will be part of a well-supported and established team, working with experienced staff. We will make sure that you are offered appropriate training and development for the role if required. No prior experience of working in this area is required – full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Main duties of the jobCLINICAL TRIALS
- Contribute to the day to day running of the pharmacy clinical trials work. This includes dispensing and accuracy checking of prescriptions, processing deliveries and returns, identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors
- Support the set-up and close-down of clinical trials
- Support monitoring visits from trial sponsors, and complete any required actions
- Review the pharmacy element of individual clinical trial contracts with sponsors and the wider research team
- Be involved with ongoing work to ensure the safe and legal conduct of clinical trials
- Work closely with the research teams to ensure timely provision of clinical trial prescriptions
- Produce paperwork required for the smooth running of individual clinical trials

EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Undertake any training required for the safe, legal and efficient performance of duties
- Deliver training to staff such as student pharmacy technicians and trainee pharmacists
- Attend any meetings relevant to the role and undertake appropriate training opportunities
