Job overview

The post holder will be required to work as part of a wider team of multi-disciplinary professionals and health care workers who work to reduce health inequalities in the city of Leeds as part of the Trust’s ongoing commitment to reducing the early mortality rate of people with a Learning Disability.
The successful candidate for this role will play a keen interest in the support and development of people with a Learning Disability who are employed in the team, as well as the patients and carers that we work with in order to support work that is rooted within the remit of co-production.
The post holder will support and assist in developing and maintaining initiatives to facilitate the involvement of service users at both an individual and collective level within the Learning Disability Service. This will involve working on a broad range of initiatives designed to increase individuals control over their own care, and the ongoing development of services.

Main duties of the job

Day to day the post holder will need to support the daily work schedule of the three co-workers within the team. You will eventually take on a role of supporting supervision and undertaking employment reviews to ensure their wellbeing and ongoing development within the team.
You will have an opportunity to develop personally to help you become a proficient practitioner. We will support you to undertake projects that you have an interest with, in order to meet the teams ongoing goals day to day.
The post holder is expected to work as part of a wider team.
Good team working skills are essential for this role.
