Job overviewChildren’s Complex Care Team (CCT)– Band 3 development role Support Worker - this role is offered on a permanent basis. The hours are part time 27 hours per week.
We are looking for an individual who has experience of working with children and ideally some hands on experience of clinical skills
E.g. Suction, Enteral feeding, medication, tracheostomy care.
This post is a development role. The postholder will commence in the role as a Band 3 then once they have successfully completed their probationary period, gained the necessary skills and experience detailed the post holder will proceed to a band 4 Support Worker.
The shifts are mainly overnight . You will be working on your own for the entire shift and will need to remain awake and alert to respond to any changes in the child.
We offer an individualised induction programme to ensure that all new starters are supported to be confident and competent with each skill.
Team members provide clinical care into children's homes to allow parents to take a break from their caring responsibilities

The role of the Children’s Complex Care Team is to support children with life limiting and life threatening conditions in their own home.
The Children’s Support Workers will work as an integrated member of the Children and Young People’s community team in Gloucestershire, providing home-based support and respite care to children with life-limiting conditions. The Children’s Support Workers will also undertake a range of delegated patient duties in the community but can act on their own initiative in delivering patient care.
Using a holistic approach the Children’s Support Workers provide care and support to parents and siblings to meet the individual needs of child/young person within a community setting.
