Salary: $ 70,933 - $ 85,350 per year (pay range explained below)

37.5 hours (8am-4pm Mon-Fri)

- Hybrid is an option- eligible for 3 in office days, 2 work from home. Travel within the Coast Salish territory, is required.

As the Coast Salish Health and Wellness Specialist, you will be a key member of a multidisciplinary and collaborative team supporting First Nations communities across the Vancouver Island Region. Rooted in a First Nations worldview, you will provide culturally grounded, strengths-based support that empowers individuals, families, and communities. As part of the Mental Health and Wellness Team and working from a community-driven and Nation-based approach, you will build community capacity by offering guidance, coordination, and responsive services tailored to local needs.

Your focus will be on developing and coordinating community-based services in partnership with Nations, while also offering support and consultation to leadership, Health Leads, community staff, and partners, including navigating external systems and resources, facilitating referrals, delivering workshops and presentations, and providing crisis stabilization.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work from an approved post-secondary institution.
• 5 to 7 years of recent, related experience in health care setting
• Current practicing registration and in good standing with the BC College of Social Workers.
• Current valid B.C. driver’s license and willing to submit a drivers abstract
