A Day in the Life The Neuromodulation & Pelvic Health business partners with healthcare professionals to improve outcomes for patients living with chronic conditions through evidence-based therapies and ongoing clinical innovation. The Medical Affairs function supports the generation, communication, and exchange of scientific and clinical evidence, enabling informed decision-making across the healthcare ecosystem.
This is a remote position based in the United Kingdom, supporting stakeholders across Western Europe. The role requires frequent travel to engage with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, medical societies, congresses, and other scientific events.
As Principal Medical Science Liaison, you will serve as a senior scientific expert for the Neuromodulation & Pelvic Health portfolio, leading external scientific engagement and fostering trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and professional societies. You will support the communication of clinical evidence, contribute to medical affairs strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance scientific understanding and patient care.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, medical societies, and other external stakeholders
Deliver accurate, balanced, and evidence-based scientific and clinical information related to Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health therapies
Lead and execute medical affairs initiatives aligned with therapeutic area objectives and organisational priorities
Support scientific exchange activities through advisory boards, continuing medical education programmes, workshops, congresses, and other scientific events
Communicate clinical evidence, health outcomes, and therapy value to diverse external and internal audiences
Provide scientific and clinical expertise to support product lifecycle management, including new therapy adoption and portfolio growth initiatives
Partner with cross-functional teams, including clinical, regulatory, commercial, and market development colleagues, to support strategic objectives
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Required Knowledge and Experience
Experience with in the medical device industry
Experience supporting Neuromodulation, Pelvic Health, neuroscience, urology, gynaecology, or related therapeutic areas
Experience communicating complex scientific and clinical information to healthcare professionals and external stakeholders
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and other healthcare stakeholders
Experience leading cross-functional projects and medical affairs initiatives within a regulated healthcare environment
Advanced degree (Master's, PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent) and significant experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, clinical research, or a related scientific role within healthcare is considered an advantage
