About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and safety-focused Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join their team in Kimberley . This hybrid role is vital for ensuring the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products by monitoring, collecting, and analyzing adverse event data. You will play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance and protecting patient well-being throughout the product lifecycle. This position offers a blend of remote work flexibility and necessary on-site collaboration, making it an ideal opportunity for a meticulous professional dedicated to drug safety within the pharmaceutical industry in the Northern Cape .
Key Responsibilities- Collect, assess, and document adverse event reports from various sources.
- Conduct initial case processing and determine seriousness and expectedness of events.
- Ensure timely reporting of adverse events to regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Support the maintenance of the pharmacovigilance database and associated systems.
- Participate in signal detection activities and contribute to safety data review meetings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of pharmacovigilance policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
- Knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with safety databases and adverse event reporting systems.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for a hybrid work environment.
