Hours37.5 hours week Monday – Friday (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
LocationAlberni or Park Royal Office - located on the unceded and ancestral territory of the (Musqueam), (Squamish), and (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations (Hybrid and Remote working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy).
AboutThe Role
This is a backfill opportunity responsible for planning and advancing accreditation and quality improvement (QI) initiatives within FNHA and in partnership with First Nations health service organizations. Reporting to the Manager, the role leads the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and continuous advancement of accreditation, client/patient safety, and quality improvement programs, while promoting organizational awareness and a culture of continuous improvement grounded in cultural safety.
The position champions First Nations perspectives on quality, supports the Community Accreditation Quality Improvement (CAQI) program, and works closely with partner organizations to strengthen accreditation readiness and service excellence. Key qualifications include strong project and program management experience, expertise in quality improvement (QI), accreditation processes, and client/patient safety initiatives, as well as the ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects and drive measurable improvements in healthcare quality and outcomes.
You
To be successful in this role you will have;
Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (REQUIRED)- University Degree in a related field such as public health, planning, health policy, health management or social services
- Additional training, education, or experience related to First Nations health and healing
- Have recent and relevant experience in project and program coordination (usually acquired over a period of 5-7 years) preferably within the context of First Nations and/or Indigenous health or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have recent and relevant experience of minimum 2 years in health services accreditation and quality improvement processes (recent defined as within last 5 years).
