Job Role: Community Physiotherapist

Salary: £42,000–£45,000 FTE, depending on experience

Location: Horley, Surrey | Community caseload across surrounding areas

This is one of those roles where you genuinely get to see the difference your work makes. You’re meeting patients in their own environment, helping someone regain their confidence after a hospital stay, reducing their risk of falling, getting them moving again or helping them maintain the independence that means so much to them.

You’ll be joining an established community team rather than being left to figure everything out alone, with experienced clinical leadership and colleagues around you who genuinely care about doing community rehabilitation properly.

If you love the autonomy of community physio but still want to feel very much part of a team, we think this one has a lot going for it.

This role needs someone who is already comfortable working autonomously within a community setting. You’ll be managing your own patients away from the clinic, so current or recent community physiotherapy experience is important.

You’ll need:

• HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist

• CSP membership

• Minimum 2 years' post-graduate physiotherapy experience in the UK, within the NHS and/or private sector

• Current or recent community physiotherapy experience

• Experience managing your own clinical caseload

• Experience working with adult patients across a range of conditions

• Confidence working independently within patients' homes and community settings

• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own car for work purposes

It would be great if you also have:

• Private practice experience

• Orthopaedic rehabilitation experience

• Experience supporting or mentoring junior Physiotherapists or therapy assistants

Above all, you’ll be someone who enjoys working with people. You’ll need to be engaging, reassuring and able to build rapport with patients and their families while maintaining the confidence to make independent clinical decisions.

You’ll manage a varied community physiotherapy caseload, supporting patients within their own homes, care homes and other community environments.

Your caseload may include older adults, people returning home following hospital admission or surgery, patients experiencing reduced mobility or deconditioning, those at risk of falls, and people living with longer-term conditions.

Day to day, you’ll:

• Independently assess and manage your own community physiotherapy caseload

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans around each patient's needs, goals and home environment

• Support mobility, strength, balance, confidence and functional independence

• Provide rehabilitation following illness, surgery or hospital admission
