Actuarial Analyst

For roles that are 100% remote or hybrid, you must have access to a reliable high-speed internet connection to support daily job responsibilities. A minimum bandwidth of 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required. ** t will report to an Actuary on the Medical Economics team. The position is eligible for the Actuarial Development Program, which provides actuarial students with exam support, mentorship, and rotational opportunities.

** Work Arrangement*
* + This is a 100% Remote position but you must live in EST or CST time zones

+ For local candidates there is an opportunity to work hybris at Ellis Preserve offcie in Newtown Square, PA

** Responsibilities*
* + Calculate, monitor, and assess impact of benefit and provider reimbursement changes, cost containment programs, and medical cost and trends

+ Assists in developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases for purposes of trend and data analytics

+ Performs monthly data analysis projects to assist analysts

+ Assists in validating HVOs

+ Assists in maintaining and developing medical economic databases and applications

+ Assists in developing and refreshing actuarial medical economic models

+ Populates quarterly reporting templates for LOBs

+ Prepares internal and external communications, including that with regulatory authorities and internal management

+ Uses best practice models and other industry recognized pricing tools

** Education and Experience*
* + Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or related field required

+ One to three (1
- 3) actuarial exams

+ Internship experience a plus

+ Knowledge of Excel, SQL, spreadsheets, data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI, and database applications used for analysis
