Working Pattern: 8am – 4pm/8.30am – 4.30pm
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join an established Occupational Health team. This is a varied role covering occupational health case management, fitness-for-work assessments and health surveillance, supporting employees and managers across the organisation.
You will manage a varied occupational health caseload, providing professional advice and practical recommendations to support employee health, attendance and rehabilitation.
The role typically involves 4–5 cases per day, with a focus on delivering a high-quality service rather than simply processing referrals.
Key responsibilities include:- Managing occupational health case management referrals
- Completing fitness-for-work assessments
- Providing advice to employees, managers and HR
- Recommending reasonable adjustments and workplace support
- Supporting rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes
- Producing clear, accurate and professional OH reports
- Participating in case conferences and multidisciplinary discussions
- Delivering health surveillance
- Advising on workplace health and employee wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records
- Managing your own caseload and working autonomously
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor with strong case management skills and the ability to work independently.
You will need:
- Current NMC registration
- A recognised Occupational Health qualification (Diploma, Degree or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as an Occupational Health Advisor
- Experience managing occupational health case management referrals
- Experience delivering health surveillance
- Knowledge of fitness-for-work assessments
- Understanding of rehabilitation, reasonable adjustments and return-to-work planning
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
