We are looking for an experienced Senior Occupational Health Advisor to provide clinical leadership within an established Occupational Health and Wellbeing service.
This is a senior position combining occupational health case management, clinical leadership, supervision, governance and health promotion. You will work closely with employees, managers and senior stakeholders, while supporting the development and delivery of a proactive Occupational Health service.
The RoleAs a Senior Occupational Health Advisor, you will provide expert occupational health advice and clinical guidance across the organisation, while helping to lead and develop a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert occupational health advice to employees, managers and senior stakeholders
- Supporting the management of complex occupational health cases
- Providing advice around fitness for work, rehabilitation, sickness absence and workplace adjustments
- Providing clinical supervision, support and guidance to members of the Occupational Health team
- Managing and supporting a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Overseeing clinical assessments and ensuring appropriate standards of practice
- Contributing to clinical governance, quality assurance and service improvement
- Developing and delivering health promotion and wellbeing campaigns
- Supporting the provision and monitoring of occupational health and medical interventions
- Advising managers on appropriate health and wellbeing measures
- Supporting proactive initiatives designed to improve workforce health and wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with HR, managers and other professional teams
- Maintaining high standards of clinical practice, confidentiality and professional conduct
We are looking for an experienced Senior Occupational Health Advisor who can combine strong clinical knowledge with leadership and service development skills.
You will ideally have:- Current NMC registration
- A recognised Occupational Health qualification
- Significant experience working within Occupational Health
- Previous experience at Senior Occupational Health Advisor or equivalent level
- Experience providing clinical supervision
- Experience of clinical governance and quality assurance
- Experience developing or delivering health promotion and wellbeing campaigns
- Strong knowledge of occupational health case management
- Experience advising on rehabilitation, workplace adjustments and fitness for work
- Excellent communication, report-writing and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to lead, support and develop clinical colleagues
- A proactive approach to improving Occupational Health services
- Salary up to £58,000
