We’re recruiting PIP Disability Assessors in Newport(Isle of Wight), offering you the opportunity to take your clinical career in a new direction while continuing to use the skills and experience you’ve built throughout your healthcare career.

This is a structured role where you’ll use your clinical reasoning, assessment skills and professional judgement to understand how health conditions and disabilities affect an individual's daily life.

• Use your clinical expertise differently
• There’s no treatment or hands‑on care. Instead, you’ll assess how a person's health condition or disability affects their daily living and mobility
  .
• Full paid training
• No previous PIP or Disability Assessor experience is required. You’ll receive a comprehensive 12-week paid training programme
  , followed by ongoing support and development.

• Conduct PIP (Personal Independence Payment) assessments via telephone and face‑to‑face appointments.
• Explore how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their daily living and mobility
  .
• Review medical evidence and information provided by claimants.
• Use clinical reasoning and professional judgement to assess functional ability.
• Produce clear, accurate and evidence‑based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
• Manage your own caseload while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

You’ll need at least 1 year of post-registration clinical experience
, current NMC or HCPC registration, strong communication skills and the ability to produce clear, detailed reports.

No previous PIP or Disability Assessor experience? No problem — full training is provided.
