Live-In Care Assistant - from £1,000 per week

At Homecare Gurus Ltd, we believe good care starts with understanding the person—their routines, preferences and what matters most to them.

We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable Live-in Care Assistant to help people live comfortably in their own homes. You’ll provide practical support and companionship, building a trusting relationship while respecting each person’s dignity, privacy and independence.

You’ll stay in the client’s home during your agreed placement and follow a personalised care plan. Depending on their needs, your support may include personal care, preparing meals, light household tasks, attending appointments and helping them enjoy their usual activities.

What we offer:
  • Weekly pay and any applicable enhancements
  • Accommodation and meal arrangements during placements
  • Rota arrangements, agreed breaks and time off
  • Training, induction and ongoing development
  • Support from the care team, including out-of-hours arrangements
  • Travel expenses or other benefits, where applicable
About the role

As a Live-in Care Assistant, you’ll make a meaningful difference through everyday care, reassurance and companionship. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting personal care, dressing and daily routines with dignity and sensitivity.
  • Preparing meals and drinks that reflect the client’s preferences and dietary needs.
  • Providing companionship and supporting hobbies, social activities and appointments.
  • Helping with light housekeeping, laundry and shopping.
  • Supporting mobility in line with the care plan and your training.
  • Providing medication support where required, within your training and agreed responsibilities.
  • Keeping accurate care records and reporting changes in wellbeing.
  • Following care plans, safeguarding procedures and company policies.
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is kind, patient and respectful.
  • Communicates clearly and listens carefully.
  • Is reliable, organised and comfortable working independently.
  • Respects the client’s home, choices and confidentiality.
  • Can meet the agreed live-in rota requirements.
  • Has previous care experience
  • Meets any essential driving, qualification or right-to-work requirements.
About the company

Founded in 2020, Homecare Gurus was created with a clear purpose: to improve the experience of care for both clients and care professionals. After gaining first-hand experience as a carer, our founder, Julie, recognised the need for greater connection between domiciliary and residential care. Today, we provide compassionate, person-centred care while equipping our carers with the skills and adaptability to work confidently across different care settings.

Our approach combines professionalism, empathy and consistency to promote dignity, independence and better outcomes for the people we support.
