Weare seeking an exceptional individual to join us as an Associate Non-Executive Member for Audit and Governance, working in a joint role across two statutory
Boards.
Thisis an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Board-level leadership and governance of two Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), working together to commission healthcare services for the populations of Coventry, Herefordshire,Warwickshire and Worcestershire with a view to improving health outcomes, reducing inequalities and ensuring the effective stewardship of public resources. The Associate Non-Executive Member will support robust governance and assurance through membership of the two Audit Committees working in common and attendance at Board meetings and development sessions.

Main duties of the jobWeare looking for a senior leader with significant experience of financial and corporate governance in a large and complex organisation, ideally within an NHSor public sector environment. You will have a strong understanding ofaudit committee practices, risk management and corporate governance, togetherwith the confidence to provide constructive challenge and independent scrutiny.
A finance qualification and previous non-executive experience would be an advantage
Youwill bring integrity, sound judgement and a commitment to NHS values, helpingto ensure the ICBs deliver on their statutory duties and strategic ambitions while maintaining the highest standards of governance and accountability.

As an Associate Board member we offer:
- Remuneration: £12,000 per annum.
- Time commitment:
Approximately three days per month. - Term of office:
Two years.
The Associate NEM acts as a member of the ICBs Audit Committees which meet incommon and may undertake roles on other committees or sub-committees of theICBs. They are expected to attend meetings of the Boards and Board development sessions.
The AssociateNEM will:
Work collaboratively to shape thelong-term, viable plan for the delivery of the functions, duties and objectives of the ICBs and the ICB cluster and for the stewardship of public money.
Ensure that Committees are effective in all aspects and are appropriately focused on the fourcore purposes, to:
- improve outcomes in population health and healthcare;
- tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience and access;
- enhance productivity and value for money; and
- helpthe NHS support broader social and economic development.
