** Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different
** This role offers a true hybrid work model, splitting time evenly between the branch and patient-facing care. It provides flexibility, predictable hours, and the opportunity to serve patients throughout the Charlottesville area while maintaining strong operational support from the branch.
** Key highlights
*** Work Arrangement:
Hybrid; 50% office, 50% remote/home visits.

* Hours:

8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
* Reimbursements:
Mileage $0.70, parking, tolls.
** Salary range*** $38.50 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
** On-Call transparency
*** One week per month; supports patient needs outside standard hours.
** What you’ll do
*** Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‐ups.
* Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
* Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately.
* Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs,
* Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams.
* Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
* Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
* Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
* Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs.
* Performs other duties as required.
** What we look for
*** Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active SC RT license.
* Open to various experience levels; preference for experienced candidates.
* Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs.
* Valid driver's license.
* Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation.
** Education
* ** Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
** Certificates, licenses, registrations or professional designations
*** Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.
* Hold a current CPR Certification.
* Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.
