Join Optum/United Health Group to support behavioral health and substance abuse case management through utilization reviews and care coordination. While not a member facing role, you'll help ensure they receive the right level of care at the right time. This is a fully remote position with a Monday-Friday schedule during standard business hours. There may be a need for occasional weekend or holiday on call availability based on business need.
WhatYou'll Do:
- Review behavioral health and substance use cases
- Determine appropriate levels of care
- Coordinate transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborate with providers and community resources
- Experience with utilization review as a primary job function
- Master's degree in behavioral health or related field
- Active independent AZ license (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC)
- 2+ years of behavioral health experience
- AZ residency and reliable internet
- Working with dual diagnosis (SUD and behavioral health)
- Medicaid/Medicare populations and/or community mental health
- Experience with benefit coordination
