- The candidate must conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including clinical interviews, standardized measures, and risk-relevant assessment tools.
- The candidate must develop integrated case formulations identifying risk factors, protective factors, and intervention targets related to radicalization to violence or hate-motivated behaviour.
- The candidate must prepare clear, defensible written reports to inform case management and multi-agency decision-making.
- The candidate must provide evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to youth and adults on a violence risk trajectory.
- The candidate must provide psychological consultation to program staff and external partners, including law enforcement, schools, social services, and community organizations.
- The candidate must participate in multi-agency case discussions, contributing clinical insight to risk management and intervention planning.
- The candidate must maintain psychological and clinical client records and statistics.
- The candidate will be required to identify and recommend appropriate psychological assessment tools and materials.
- The candidate must participate in program review and evaluation, prepare reports, and make recommendations for improvement.
- The candidate must serve as the program’s primary provider of psychological services.
- The candidate must possess a minimum of a PhD in Clinical Psychology and be registered (or in the process of being registered) within Canada or with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia as a licensed professional.
- The candidate must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in violence prevention, forensic mental health, trauma, or other high-risk clinical settings.
- The candidate must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience working with radicalization, extremism, and/or conspiracism.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience working with perpetrators.
- The candidate must be located in British Columbia at the time of employment.
- The candidate will be required to undergo enhanced security screening as part of the hiring process.
- The candidate may be required to travel occasionally within British Columbia.
- The candidate may be eligible for remote work, with the ability to work up to full-time from home within British Columbia, subject to an approved telework agreement.
