Eisner Health is seeking a bilingual, detail-oriented Mental Health Coordinator to support scheduling and daily operations for our Behavioral Health team. This part-time role is responsible for coordinating patient appointments, managing a high volume of telephone calls, maintaining accurate patient records, and facilitating communication between patients and clinical staff. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to providing professional, courteous service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Our services include primary care, pediatrics, women's health, behavioral health, dental, optometry, dermatology, pharmacy, laboratory services, and care coordination.
Position OverviewThe Mental Health Coordinator supports the daily administrative operations of the Behavioral Health department, with a primary focus on appointment scheduling, telephone operations, and patient communication.
As a key point of contact for patients and clinical staff, this position helps maintain efficient scheduling workflows, accurate records, and timely communication. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Primary Responsibilities- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule behavioral health appointments and provide accurate, timely reminders, including appointment dates, times, and provider names.
- Telephone Operations: Manage a high volume of incoming calls, respond to routine inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Message Coordination: Forward messages to Behavioral Health clinical staff or the Behavioral Health Intake Specialist for triage.
- Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient demographic information and update records in the electronic health record and other computer systems.
- Patient Assistance: Respond to scheduling requests and provide clear, accurate information regarding appointments.
- Staff Communication: Communicate appointment changes and scheduling updates to clinical staff in a timely manner.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous, professional, and respectful service to patients, visitors, and colleagues, both in person and by telephone.
- Administrative Support: Maintain an organized workspace and support departmental operations, including adapting to workflows across different sites.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with computers, multi-button telephone systems, and standard office equipment.
- Excellent telephone communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to learn the Center's computer and telephone systems within one month of hire.
