Clinical, At Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR), we’re dedicated to serving our community every day and empowering both our clients and our clinicians to grow. We’re seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Master’s-level clinician with a Candidate Permit (SWC/LSW, LPCC, or MFT-C), fully licensed therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT), or an unlicensed or licensed psychologist to join our Elmira Counseling Center, an outpatient team providing care primarily to adults with higher acuity needs, including individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness.
In this role, you’ll conduct intakes and assessments, develop and manage treatment plans, provide primarily individual therapy (with opportunities to work with couples and families), and maintain timely documentation while managing your own schedule and meeting billable service expectations. Our ideal candidate brings at least two years of experience working with adult populations, including trauma and serious mental illness, along with strong organizational skills and a commitment to culturally responsive care for diverse populations.

Schedule:
This position is scheduled Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and offers flexible scheduling options, including four 10-hour shifts, five 8-hour shifts, or a combination—designed to align with both staff preferences and community needs. The role is eligible for a hybrid work model, with a mix of in-office and remote work. Team members are expected to be onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays (the building is open 8:00 AM–6:00 PM), with remaining days worked remotely.
The schedule may be adjusted based on training needs, departmental priorities, and client or community needs.
Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on experience, licensure and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.
- Unlicensed Therapist: $60,673 - $65,527 per year.
- Licensed Therapist: $67,529 - $92,515 per year.
- Unlicensed Psychologist: $70,010 - $77,010 per year.
- Licensed Psychologist: $99,494 - $127,352 per year.
Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay. This differential is provided as a fixed amount of $6,000 per calendar year, paid on a bi‑weekly basis across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and full‑time equivalency (FTE). Eligibility and payment are subject to the language requirements of the position and the employee’s demonstrated proficiency in the language.
EssentialFunctions
- Facilitate recovery and optimal quality of life in clients with behavioral health concerns, by providing clinical services, case management and education. With the client, create and carry out a consistent plan of treatment, from intake and assessment to closure.
