This position is remote, providing flexibility for our employees while maintaining a strong connection to our outpatient office in Albany. Our remote work setting is designed to facilitate high engagement levels with both clients and team members through virtual platforms. Counselors at Delmont participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative case reviews to ensure that we are consistently providing the best care possible.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater specifically to the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based therapies, addressing individual, family, and group dynamics.
- Monitor and document clients' progress during therapy sessions, revising treatment plans as required based on ongoing evaluations.
- Act promptly to provide crisis intervention support for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain confidential client records, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Collaborate regularly with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Stay current with developments in the field of mental health treatment, attending workshops and seminars to enhance clinical skills.
- Participate in professional supervision and peer reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning.
- Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and best practice standards as outlined by relevant licensing boards and organizations.

Qualifications- A Master's or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is essential.
- Current state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R) is required.
- Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to effectively evaluate and address a variety of mental health issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate the building of trust and rapport with clients.
