Medicaid Redesign Analyst​/Trainee​/Trainee

The Medicaid Redesign Analyst supports the New York State Department of Health's Office of Health Insurance Programs in developing, interpreting, and implementing statewide Medicaid long-term care policies. The role involves drafting policies and correspondence, responding to inquiries from consumers and providers, conducting program monitoring and compliance reviews, and analyzing Medicaid program data. This is a full‑time, contingent permanent position based in Albany with remote work allowed.

• Four to six years of experience in public health insurance program administration (depending on level)
• Experience with Medicaid policy development, implementation, or health plan contract oversight
• Experience analyzing healthcare data including demographic, financial, or clinical quality assurance information
• Associate degree or higher may substitute for experience requirements
• Preferred:
  Medicaid and Medicare experience, familiarity with local departments of social services, and experience with large data sets
