In this role, you will empower individuals experiencing mental health challenges to navigate the healthcare system, access appropriate services, and understand their rights. You will provide crucial emotional support, connect clients with mental health professionals, and educate them on available resources.

• Provide peer support and advocacy for individuals with mental health conditions.

• Educate clients on their rights within the mental healthcare system.

• Personal lived experience with mental health challenges and recovery is highly valued.
• Certification as a Peer Support Specialist or Mental Health Advocate is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of mental health principles and the recovery model.

• Ability to navigate complex healthcare and social service systems, particularly within Gauteng .
