Helping children and teens thrive takes patience, creativity, and the ability to build trust with the entire family. If that is where you do your best clinical work, we would love to meet you.

At Ellie Mental Health-Libertyville, you can enjoy the flexibility and earning potential of private practice with the support of an established, locally owned team. We handle the business side and invest in helping you build a strong, sustainable caseload.

We are seeking a therapist who enjoys working with children and adolescents, including elementary-age clients, and can partner effectively with parents and caregivers. We welcome LCSWs, LCPCs, LMFTs, Psy Ds, LPCs, LSWs, and ALMFTs. Relevant child or family experience, commitment to clinical growth, and enthusiasm for building a successful practice matter most.

  • 401(k) options
  • Flexible in-person and telehealth scheduling

We Help You Build Your Caseload

We do not simply provide an office and expect you to find clients on your own. We invest in Google Ads, Meta advertising, SEO, community outreach, local sponsor ships, and school and referral relationships.

We provide the platform and marketing support. You bring your clinical expertise, develop professional relationships, and deliver an excellent experience for children and families. An existing caseload or referral network is welcomed but not required.

You May Be a Great Fit If You
  • Have experience providing therapy to children and adolescents
  • Are comfortable working with elementary-age children
  • Can engage parents and caregivers appropriately in treatment
  • Use creative, developmentally appropriate clinical approaches
  • Have experience with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, trauma, family transitions, or school-related challenges
  • Want private-practice flexibility without the administrative burden
  • Are motivated to develop and retain a successful caseload
What You’ll Do
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Build toward and maintain approximately 25 completed sessions per week for full-time status
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, and referral partners when clinically appropriate
  • Participate in team meetings, consultation, and professional development
  • Optionally provide clinical supervision if qualified
What You’ll Bring
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in a behavioral health field
  • Active Illinois license: LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD, LPC, LSW, or ALMFT
  • Experience or specialized training with children and adolescents
  • Experience with assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and dependable care
  • Willingness to participate in caseload development
  • Ability to complete required background screening

At Ellie, therapists do their best work when they feel supported, trusted, and connected. If you want to build a meaningful private-practice career while helping children and families in your community, we would genuinely like to meet you.
