Ovation Healthcare is seeking experienced inpatient coders with a minimum of three years of coding background. In this fully remote role, you will review medical records and assign accurate diagnostic codes (ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRGs). This position demands meticulous attention to detail to ensure proper reimbursement and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply coding classification standards to medical documentation

• Submit provider queries for documentation discrepancies

• Perform quality assessments of medical records

• Research and resolve errors in coding processes

• Abstract and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes

Requirements:

• AHIMA/AAPC Credentials required

• Minimum three years of coding experience

• Inpatient and surgical coding expertise needed

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to maintain a 95% QA accuracy rate
