Remote Pharmaceutical Clinical Research Associate

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Pharmaceutical Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to support their global clinical development initiatives, with teams often interacting with personnel based in Bloemfontein. This critical role involves overseeing the progress of clinical studies at investigational sites, ensuring adherence to protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and all applicable regulations. As a remote CRA, you will conduct site visits (virtually or in-person as needed), manage site relationships, and ensure the accurate collection and integrity of study data, contributing significantly to the successful execution of vital clinical trials from your home office.

• Monitor clinical trial sites according to study protocols, regulatory requirements, and company SOPs.
• Ensure the safety and rights of study participants are protected at all times.
• Verify the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of clinical trial data through source data verification.
• Manage investigational site operations, including initiation, monitoring, and close-out activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investigators, site staff, and study sponsors.
• Prepare monitoring reports and communicate site progress, issues, and risks to the study team.

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Clinical Research Associate.
• Thorough understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel as required and to work effectively in a remote environment, managing your own schedule.
