Job Description:

Currently, we are not hiring remote workers in the following states: CA, CT, HI, IL, ME, MA, MN, NY, PA, RI, VT, VA, and WA.Please note that an on-camera filter-free video interview with Microsoft Teams will be required, as well as, onsite interviews and/or meetings.

Shift Details:

Two schedule options are available:

Two 10-hour shifts on Friday and Saturday, orOne 4-hour shift on Thursday and two 8-hour shifts on Friday and Saturday.

Location:

This is a fully remote position. Candidates for this role need to have an active Pharmacist license in Utah, Colorado, Montana or Nevada. Candidates outside of these states will not be considered.

Join our Refill Authorization Pharmacy Team at Intermountain Health , where pharmacists and pharmacy technicians work collaboratively to ensure patients have timely access to prescribed medications. This fully remote team supports patient care by completing medication refill authorizations for primary care clinics across Intermountain. Future cross-training is planned with the Prior Authorization and Medication Assistance teams. Essential Functions Reviews patients' medication order for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug- drug interaction. Makes appropriate evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use. Ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective therapies and accurately dispenses medications.

Oversees and/or participates in assuring appropriate medications are prepared and delivered timely to care areas and are stored both securely and appropriate for both stability and effective workflow.

Completes all regulatory and compliance training and ensures documentation of regulatory requirements is clear and complete. Is knowledgeable and compliant with state and federal laws, regulations, pharmacy policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.

Takes the initiative to solve problems including, but not limited to, equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing issues, and extraordinary patient care concerns.

Identifies potential areas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction. Identifies potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff and takes appropriate actions. Participates in departmental meetings, contributing ideas or feedback

Supports clinic or hospital and system directives, including clinical, compliance, business operations, standardization, and customer service.

Supports local and enterprise pharmacy leadership initiatives.
