Community Counsellor - Remote

Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Counsellor to deliver essential mental health services in a fully remote capacity. This role is dedicated to supporting individuals and families within the Kimberley and Northern Cape region, helping them navigate emotional, psychological, and social challenges. You will conduct virtual counselling sessions, provide psychoeducation, and connect clients with appropriate resources. • Conduct virtual counselling sessions for individuals, couples, and families.
• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for various mental health concerns.
• Offer psychoeducation and support on coping mechanisms and well‑being strategies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records and progress notes electronically.
• Liaise with external agencies and community partners as needed to facilitate referrals and support.
• Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support remotely.
• Stay current with best practices and ethical standards in remote counselling.

• Registered Counsellor or Psychologist with the HPCSA.
• Master's degree in Psychology or relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in counselling practice.
• Proven expertise in delivering counselling services via tele‑mental health platforms.
• Excellent active listening, communication, and empathy skills.
