This Work from Home position requires that you live and will perform the duties of the position; within 60 miles of an HCA Healthcare Hospital (Our hospitals are located in the following states: FL, GA, , KS, KY, MO, NV, NH, NC, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA).

Requires an 8hr shift, hours between 6a-6p CST.

Asa Medical Insurance Claims Follow-up Specialist,you willbe responsibleforprocessinginsurance accounts to address claim issues and thereby affect payment and/or bringing themto resolution.

What you will do in this role:

• Status account and document all work performed in the company and client computer systems.
• Assess accounts todeterminethe nextappropriate courseof action in line with company policies and procedures.
• Place outbound calls to insurance companies, guarantors, patients, doctors’offices and/or facilities and handle incoming calls as necessary utilizing proper customer service protocol.
• Process related correspondence from insurance companies and perform pertinent follow-up.
• Reconcile balances and payments between insurance companies andclient'scomputer systems.
• Medical and insurance terminology (such as procedure codes, diagnoses, and patient liability), and full understanding of hospital/physician billing.
• Demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to act/decide accordingly.
• Ability to collect, create and research complex or diverse information.
• Exceptional customer service and the ability toplan,organize and exercise sound judgment.

Qualifications you will need:

• Minimum 3-5years' experience in Medical Insurance Claims Follow-up/Billing for a facility, medical clinic, or doctor’s office and experience with Microsoft Office suite and standard office equipment (efax application) preferred.
• Physician and Hospital Claim Denial experience required
• Experience with Adobe documents
• Work from home roles require employees must have wired high speed internet
