EKG Technician
Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Monitor Tech for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit.
Hours/Shift: Full time, Rotating Shifts
Education- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- EKG/Monitor Tech
- Completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course required upon hire.
The Monitor Tech observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient's norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias. Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment.
