Pay Range Estimated annual earning potential: $80,000–$130,000

Actual earnings may vary based on availability and service volumesVHA's Physiotherapist is responsible for providing physiotherapy consultation, assessment and planned interventions for diverse client groups across Southern Ontario and the Capital region, referred through VHA Rehab Solutions and Champlain Rehab Solutions. The physiotherapist will work within a continuous quality improvement framework that reflects VHA’s vision and mission of services. To promote and maintain good public relations with clients, customers and VHA staff, volunteers and associates.

We are seeking a:

Physiotherapist Clinical Lead to support our team in North York and York region

Among other roles, you will provide advice, consultation and expertise related to the Physiotherapy Profession. You will provide joint visits with Service Providers to give input for performance reviews and to support Service Providers who face clinically challenging situations. You will provide clinical orientation for new Service Providers or those changing clinical areas, and mentor groups for new grads or those new to the community setting.

You will identify, promote, and participate in best practice initiatives reflective of the requirements of the evolving health care system. You will also meet regularly with the Supervisor, Rehab Best Practice. You will act as a resource in the implementation and interpretation of discipline-specific professional standards of practice, contribute to the development of standards of practice, clinical policies and procedures relevant to the profession.

Key Areas of Accountability All Clinical Leads also provide physiotherapy services to our clients in the community. Responsibilities include the following:

VHA's Physiotherapist have the following key areas of accountability, but not limited to:

Assesses clients using interviews, standardized and informal assessment techniques in accordance with professional practice guidelines and standards established by VHA.Implements client interventions based on assessment information, client input and in conjunction with the client’s integrated care plan.

Ensures that services provided are best practice, evidence-based and evaluated through the routine use of valid and reliable outcome measured.

Attends client related meetings to report on assessment findings and discuss plans for intervention, progress reports and discharge as required.

Ensures coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with all members of the client’s team regarding plans and schedules for interventions.

Documents all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress and discharge summaries of interventions as required b the profession, referral source and the organization.
