As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in providing vital mental health support to individuals seeking assistance from the comfort of their own homes. This position is fully remote, enabling you to work from anywhere in Virginia. You will benefit from a structured schedule, working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, which allows you to manage your personal commitments effectively. • Conduct virtual therapy sessions that cater to individual client needs, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, actively working on skill-building strategies that promote personal growth.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of client interactions and treatment progress, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in training workshops and peer consultations, which enhances the quality of care provided.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals within the organization to deliver integrated mental health services and foster a holistic approach to client care.

Your clients will represent a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, dealing with various mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. You’ll be at the forefront of utilizing telehealth technology to reach clients who may otherwise have limited access to mental health resources. An emphasis on cultural competency will guide your interactions as you help clients navigate their unique circumstances.

• An active independent license (LMFT, LCSW, LPC) in Virginia, demonstrating your qualifications to provide mental health counseling.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a strong foundation for understanding psychological principles.
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting therapy, treatment planning, and virtual healthcare delivery.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, ideally in a teletherapy setting, which equips you with the skills necessary to engage effectively with clients online.
• Experience working in community health settings is highly desirable, as it speaks to your understanding of diverse client needs and socio-economic factors in mental health.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and mental health documentation software will enhance your efficiency and effectiveness in this role.
