Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Our client, a renowned pediatric therapy center located in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA
, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist. This role operates on a hybrid model, requiring a balance of on-site therapy sessions with young clients and remote administrative/consultative tasks. You will work with children facing a wide range of developmental, physical, and sensory challenges, helping them develop essential life skills. The position involves creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with families and healthcare professionals, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for children aged 0-18.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, gross motor skills, and daily living activities.
• Provide direct therapy services to children in an on-site setting.
• Conduct remote consultations and follow-up sessions with parents and caregivers via telehealth platforms.
• Educate families on home-based strategies and exercises to support therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, educators, and other therapists to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and timely client documentation, including progress notes and reports.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of each child.
• Contribute to the development of new therapeutic programs and resources.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current registration and licensure as an Occupational Therapist in South Africa.
• Proven experience working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
• Strong knowledge of child development, pediatric conditions, and therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent clinical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using therapy equipment and materials.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
• Ability to manage time effectively and balance on-site and remote responsibilities.
• Must be able to work from our clinic in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA
  , and fulfill remote duties.
