Team Outsider is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead our Hayward campground. This is a high-ownership, on-site leadership role for someone who thrives in the day-to-day rhythm of campground life — leading teams, delighting guests, running strong operations, and creating the kind of experiences families remember for years.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on hospitality leader who knows how to balance guest experience, people leadership, and business performance — and who believes that great operations and great fun go hand-in-hand.

Mission of the Role

Own the overall success of the Hayward campground by leading day-to-day operations, developing a high‑performing on‑site team, and delivering exceptional guest experiences that drive loyalty, revenue, and profitability.

The General Manager is the on‑site leader responsible for bringing the property’s business strategy to life through disciplined execution, high‑energy hospitality, and a robust activity program — ensuring the campground runs smoothly while creating unforgettable moments for guests.

  • Train and motivate the team to create memorable moments and earn outstanding guest feedback
  • Recruit, hire, and develop a fully staffed on‑site team
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development that builds capability and accountability
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing team culture rooted in hospitality and teamwork
Property & Financial Performance

  • Make thoughtful, data‑informed decisions that balance guest experience with business outcomes
  • Partner with the Campground Operations Coach to execute the property’s business strategy
Operational Excellence
  • Execute daily operations in alignment with established processes and standards
  • Maintain compliance with all Home Office systems, policies, and procedures
  • Plan and complete capital projects on time and within approved budgets
Systems, Tools & Rhythms

  • Come prepared and actively engaged in weekly leadership meetings
  • Use available tools, playbooks, and Home Office support to solve problems efficiently
  • Take pride in caring for the campground as a long‑term asset
  • Proactively identify and address operational risks, safety concerns, and misuse of property

Builds trust, sets clear expectations, and addresses performance with confidence and care
  • Financial Acumen:
Comfortable managing budgets, labor, and property-level financial tradeoffs
  • Execution & Follow‑Through:
Organized, detail‑oriented, and reliable in closing loops
  • Problem‑Solving & Resourcefulness:
