This role involves a hybrid work arrangement primarily based on remote work, with occasional onsite visits to clients' locations when required. The nature of the role may require travel to clients' sites for specific engagements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Respond timely to client issues regarding various Human Resources issues, including CA State Labor Law and Federal Law concerns.

● Conduct HR Audits (Needs Analysis) with written executive report and recommendations from both a compliance and employee engagement standpoint.

● Create policies and procedures for clients, such as Employee Handbooks, New Hire and Termination Packets, Performance Review Programs and other areas of HR.

● Ability to lead and complete projects that include job description development, FLSA audit, job leveling and full compensation analysis and planning for clients.

● Provide onsite and remote consulting, coaching, and training to client managers, including topics like Sexual Harassment Prevention, Hiring, Termination, Performance Management and Employee Relations.

● Provide interim HR support to clients with HR position vacancies or lack of internal HR.

● Conduct employee relations investigations in coordination with our employment law council and provide the client with a report and recommendations.

● Manage recruitment for key positions, including job posting, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding documents or training.

● Assist with termination and disciplinary meetings, including document creation and coaching leaders and employees through the process.

● Thorough understanding of Federal/State leave of absences and ADA accommodations with an ability to guide and support clients through employee LOAs or accommodations.

● Collaborate with the Essential HR team and legal partners on HR-related issues that may require additional support.

● Provide proactive communications on labor laws and communicate any legislative changes or concerns to clients.

● Maintain thorough understanding of human resources principles, employment laws, and industry trends by staying abreast of HR/Legal changes.

● Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information and must maintain a position of organizational trust.

Qualifications
:

Required
:

● At least 10 years of experience as a Senior HR Leader for multiple locations.

● Must have excellent knowledge of California State Labor and Federal Law and all major areas of Human Resources (TA, ER, Comp, Training, Development, Culture, etc).

● Fluent in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.

● Excellent in building trusted relationships with a focus on the best interest of the client.

● Advanced skills in computer applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Workspace.

● Strong leadership skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
