A non-profit organization is looking to bring on an experience payroll professional to assist them on a consulting basis. The assignment is expected to last 8-9 months and can offer remote flexibility.
Job Description – Payroll Consultant (Temporary, Full-Time)We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to provide independent, hands‑on support during a transitional period. This role extends beyond routine processing and will play a key part in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and continuity as we prepare for an upcoming system migration.
Key Responsibilities:- Process bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees, including review and validation of all timesheets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate support.
- Act as the main liaison with our current payroll provider.
- Support the transition in payroll software, including data validation and process alignment.
- Manage multi-state payroll requirements across 26 states, including independently resolving payroll tax notices.
- Partner closely with HR and Accounting to ensure smooth payroll operations.
