Overview
This well‑established company in the construction and materials industry is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The role is primarily focused on timekeeping and payroll (about 80%) with the remaining 20% supporting HR functions.
Base Pay Range$28.50/hr – $33.00/hr
AvailabilityThis is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity for the right candidate, offering a dynamic and engaging role within our team. The position is on‑site in Redmond, with the office relocating to Bothell the second week of January.
Responsibilities- Daily timekeeping and weekly payroll
- Process hourly employee transactions, in conjunction with Pacific Northwest home office and corporate teams
- Track and update DOT medical certificates, emergency contacts and driver count report
- Maintain confidentiality and security of personal information
- Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with individuals across a broad range of stakeholders, organizational levels, and groups
- Build trust and establish positive working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the organization
- Seek ways to simplify and improve work processes to achieve business results
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
- Timekeeping and Payroll Experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Professional conduct and maturity
- Able to relate well with team members at all levels of the company
- Reliable and dependable
- Basic understanding of HR best practices
- Ability to understand and explain basic policy related information to employees
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability and skill to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure while handling multiple tasks and frequent interruptions
